White Mushroom

What is White Mushroom?

The white mushroom is commonly found in fields and grasslands all over the world, but is also highly cultivated. It is small to medium in size, with its cap averaging 2-7 centimeters. It has a short stem and smooth cap that is firm and spongy and is closely related to the cremini and the portobello mushroom, the only difference being in age and color.

Benefits of White Mushroom

White mushroom offers a good source of protein, fiber, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, particularly potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, sodium, iron, copper, zinc, and selenium. Due to its exposure to UV rays/sunlight, this mushroom is a natural, non-animal source of vitamin D2. White mushroom is believed to:

  • Improve gut health
  • Strengthen bones
  • Promote heart health
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Boost brain health
