What are Oats?

Despite their widespread recognition by health industry experts, oats have quite the humble origin. They were the last of the major grains to be domesticated, and they were apparently first discovered as weeds that grew within the fields of various other crops. Before oats were consumed as a food, they were used medicinally, which in many cases they still are today.

Benefits of Oats

Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. Oat flour provides a great deal of nutritional benefits, including a high amount of protein, fiber, antioxidants, manganese and selenium among other important vitamins and minerals.
