What is Matcha?
Matcha green tea originated during the late 12th century in Japan, and played an important part in the lives of many early Zen Buddhists. Elaborate rituals were formed, regarding both its preparation and consumption. They found that drinking matcha enabled them to be more centered, focused and energized like they had never experienced before. While matcha is still in high demand in Japan, it has grown immensely in popularity here in the United States.
