Dustin Watten
Dusty’s career began in the sand, south of the Huntington Beach Pier. No one knew that it would lead him to play as a libero for the California State University Long Beach’s men’s volleyball team, where he became an All American. As soon as his collegiate career was over, he was selected to represent USA in the 2009 Pan American Cup, where USA took the gold over Canada. After playing his first two years professionally in Finland, Dusty made a change to a plant-based diet while living in Orange, France. He immediately felt the change as he helped his team to a 2nd place finish in the French League and earned the title of the best libero in the league.
Following his year in France Dusty became the first American libero to ever play in the Brazilian Super League for Moda Maringa. Coming back from his latest season overseas while playing in Corsica, France, Dusty shifts his focus back with the USA National Team as they look to qualify for the World Cup in Japan and to help lock up one of the first chances to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
My passion for the game and my relentless work ethic will separate me as I set out to be the best libero in the world.
