Ginger Peach Colorfuel Calm Drink

Ginger Peach Colorfuel Lemonade

Sprout Living
A little peachy, a little gingery and a whole lot refreshing. This homemade lemonade starts with fresh peaches and ginger, then gets a functional boost from Colorfuel Calm — a functional blend with magnesium and calming botanicals. Bright lemon juice and a naturally sweet ginger-peach syrup make this the kind of lemonade you’ll want to sip all year long.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 serving of Colorfuel Calm Lemon Ginger
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice, about 5-6 lemons
  • 3 cups cold water
  • ¾-1 cup ginger peach syrup, to taste
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh peach slices and lemon slices, optional for garnish
    DIRECTIONS
    1. Make the ginger peach syrup: Add the sliced peaches, brown sugar, water and ginger to a small saucepan.
    2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until the brown sugar dissolves.
    3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, gently mashing the peaches with the back of a spoon as they soften.
    4. Remove from the heat and let the syrup steep for another 10 minutes.
    5. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing gently on the peaches to extract the liquid.
    6. Discard the solids and allow the syrup to cool completely.
    7. Make the lemonade: In a large pitcher or glass, combine the lemon juice, Colorfuel Calm, 3 cups cold water and ¾ cup of the ginger peach syrup.
    8. Stir well and taste. Add additional syrup for a sweeter, more pronounced peach flavor.
    9. Fill glasses with ice and pour the ginger peach lemonade over top.
    10. Garnish with fresh peach and lemon slices, if desired.
