What is Turkey Tail?

Turkey Tail is one of the most common mushrooms found in the North American woods. Their shape and the swirling variegated colors found on the cap of the mushroom resemble a turkey’s tail, hence its name. It is native to Europe, Asia and North America and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine and Native American herbalism for hundreds of years. It is often found growing in clusters on fallen branches and logs throughout the forest floor.
